St Mark’s is known for its spacious, leafy, well-maintained grounds, outstanding facilities and comfortable living spaces. Our students come from all over Australia and the world and it isn’t always possible to visit us in person before you get here. This virtual tour will help you explore our campus and see our key facilities.
St Mark’s students can feel right at home in private well-furnished, modern rooms which offer personal space. Every student has a comfortable, safe and secure room of their own with unlimited wireless internet and a weekly room cleaning service. All students live in single student bedrooms with shared bathrooms and kitchens. Senior students can access shared flats, each with their own lounge, kitchen and bathroom. All bedrooms are furnished with a king single bed with mattress (some rooms with queen or double beds), bookshelf, study desk with desk chair and a wardrobe. Students are welcome to add personal touches to their rooms and many bring a bar fridge and small TV.
Safety and security is assured with CCTV cameras around campus and a Smart Card system as the locking device for all individual student rooms.
St Mark’s sets its students up for success by providing a range of thoughtfully-designed, modern spaces for study and research. While some will always enjoy working in the privacy of their own room, a growing number of students are seeking more open, connected learning spaces. St Mark’s is aware that university students want more from the College than just a place to sleep and is responding to this by adding spaces which reflect a contemporary style of living and learning.
There’s no better place than St Mark’s for students to strike a good study-life balance. All students need a break from study and St Mark’s offers arguably the best amenities of any residential college in Adelaide. Students seeking time out from their academic work can use the fully equipped gym, try a game of tennis on the lawn courts or play pool in the Junior Common Room. Meanwhile, shared meals in the Dining Hall bring together the whole St Mark’s community. The Ballroom and Council Room provide extra space for training and guest speakers, and our friendly staff are ready to assist you in the Downer House front offices.
