Supporting St Mark's

In 1921, the Rev. KJF Bickersteth, CJB Symon, Dr Henry Gilbert, Dr Henry Newland, CAS Hawker, CT Madigan, Harry Thomson, Grenfell Price and Dr W Ray at a meeting moved four resolutions which led to the birth of St Mark's College. From this foundation, the College has been supported and sustained by philanthropy. This vision for the provision of residential accommodation for university students at St Mark's in future generations continues today. The College relies on its own community for the significant support it needs for the development of educational and residential facilities for its current and future students.

The funds that we raise enable St Mark's  to remain a leader in Australian university  residential accommodation by:

  • providing state-of-the-art facilities and programs, and
  • presenting opportunities for students to attend St Mark's through scholarships and bursaries

The Foundation has been established to ensure that St Mark's continues to be recognised for its pre-eminence in tertiary, residential accommodation and education programs. Our goal is to develop our facilities for the twenty-first century while at the same time being able attract a diverse and intellectually engaging community of undergraduate students. Support from the St Mark's community is essential for this goal to be achieved.

St Mark's has a range of giving programs including:
