SCHOLARSHIPS - FIRST ROUND 2010
Over the years the endowment of scholarships and bursaries has been vital in providing for a more diverse community and enriching the residential collegiate experience for students. The College Scholarships and Bursaries continue to provide significant benefits to both prospective and current students worth nearly $100,000 each year for a range of attributes including academic merit, contribution to the College and financial need. Last year, we had continuing support in two areas; a supplement to the Pank Scholarship from Ms Jane Newland (daughter of the late David and Peg Pank) and a further contribution to the capital of the Lewis Scholarship from Mrs Betty Lewis. A St Mark's College Entry Scholarship was also established.
The College holds two awards ceremonies each semester. These ceremonies seek to recognise and involve not only the recipients but the generous donors of this support.
The first ceremony was held in the Ballroom on 27th May where approximately $70,000 worth of bursaries, scholarships and prizes were awarded.
