New Director of Learning Appointed

Kathy Radoslovich has a strong background in supporting young people to achieve their best, and a deep commitment to serving her community.  She will join St Mark’s College as the Director of Learning in mid-May.

Kathy moved to St Mark’s as a Hawker Scholar and was in residence from 2008-2010, where she was a tutor in humanities and social sciences and a mentor for first year students.  In 2011 she spent 7 months in East Timor (Timor Leste) as an Australian Youth Ambassador for Development, where she worked with the East Timorese Scout Movement to establish their national office and complete their first membership census. On her return, she returned to her studies, completing Honours in 2012 and commencing a PhD in 2013 at the University of Adelaide’s Discipline of Sociology, Criminology and Gender Studies. In 2013 Kathy also began work as a Youth Worker at the Wiltja Residential Program, a boarding program for students from South Australia’s APY Lands, where she supports remote Indigenous high school students to complete their schooling in Adelaide. Alongside this, she also worked as an academic tutor for the Wirltu Yarlu Indigenous Education Unit at the University of Adelaide and at St Mark’s College.

Kathy has worked for several state and commonwealth government agencies.  In her most recent appointment she assisted in the recommendations from an independent review into agency culture as an employee engagement facilitator.

Kathy has a deep commitment to helping young people achieve their best. She has an intimate knowledge of the challenges facing high achieving students, and has direct experience supporting students with mental health challenges and learning disabilities complete their studies. She will bring this experience to supporting each student at St Mark’s College to thrive at university.

Kathy holds a Bachelor of International Studies (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Development Studies. She is currently studying her Doctorate, and has presented her research at state, national and international conferences.

Kathy lives with her partner, Tristan, also a St Mark’s Old Collegian (2004-2010) who is currently studying his PhD in Astrophysics at the University of Adelaide.

Kathy will work collaboratively with the Dean to support the academic progress and general welfare and well-being of students.  Together they work closely with the Dean Team, Residential Advisors, Academic Tutors, Faculty Mentors and College Club Committee to continue the strong tradition of developing the whole individual and in ensuring that for all students, College is a vibrant, welcoming and positive experience.

The College is very much looking forward to Kathy joining the staff and supporting all our students in managing and working towards the achievement of their academic, personal and career goals and priorities.
