Sport
Sporting facilities include a fully-equipped gymnasium, grass tennis courts, a portable basketball ring, a table tennis table, fussball and a full-size billiard table. The Aquatic Centre, not far away, provides first class swimming facilities. The University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia and Flinders University have established gym facilities on campus and the adjacent parklands areas near St Mark's allow for jogging and other sporting opportunities.
The Allister McLeod Sports Pavilion
The gymnasium and sports pavilion on the eastern side of the tennis courts was made possible by a bequest from the family of the late Mr Allister McLeod AO, an Old Collegian. This facility is very popular and is used by the students between 7.00 am and 11.00 pm. Equipment includes running/walking, cycling and rowing machines together with an extensive set of weights.
Tennis Courts
Five lawn tennis courts are available for use by all members of the College. The courts are marked for tennis in first and fourth terms. During second and third terms the area of these courts is often used for practising other ball games.
Ian Douglas Irving (High Table Cup) Competition
The College Club organises teams in a variety of sports each year to compete in the inter-College competition. Competition for the High Table Cup is very spirited. A large number of students become involved both as players and spectators. Competitions are held in swimming, tennis, cricket, debating, netball, volleyball, table tennis, basketball, soccer, hockey, Australian Rules football and athletics.
