Donations and Gifts

The St Mark's College Library welcomes donations. In fact our library began in 1927 with the donation of some eighty books by the then Governor of South Australia, Sir Tom Bridges, together with some valuable histories donated by Mr C J B Symon.

Since then the library has been enormously enriched by the generosity of donors and in fact about sixty per cent of our collection continues to be acquired in this way.

Apart from other gifts of money, in recent years funds have also been donated through the annual College Phone-a-thon. Many wonderful books have been purchased in this way.

If you wish to donate to the library please contact the Librarian, Mrs Pirjo Rayner.

We are interested in all subject areas. Our selection criteria for donations are the same as for purchases, that is, excellent quality books which will enhance our collection.

We welcome all donations and gifts of money. Funds received will be used in expanding our collection, and should they prefer it, donors are able specify the subject areas in which they would like their money to be spent.
