Application for a place at College is a straight-forward online process. The Selection Committee is seeking individuals who are committed to their academic achievement and who will contribute in diverse ways to the College community.
St Mark’s College only accepts students who are currently enrolled or intend to enrol at the University of Adelaide, the University of South Australia or Flinders University.
The application process
To help you make an informed decision about your home whilst at university, it is important that you take the time to research your accommodation options. This is best done during the university Open Days which are held in August each year. If you are unable to visit St Mark’s on Open Day, you are most welcome to contact the College and arrange a tour following your interview or view our virtual tour from anywhere in the world.
In recent years there have been many more applications than places available. In order to gain the most benefit from the College environment, students should be prepared to contribute their talents and interests towards one or several areas of the College, be it academic, sporting, cultural or community service. Students also have to learn to live in an atmosphere of tolerance, respect and mutual support. Students are selected on the basis of academic merit, willingness to commit themselves to their studies, and their potential to contribute to College life.
Photograph, References and Application Fee
During the online application process, you will need to attach one passport-sized photograph, your latest school report and two references. The two references can be completed on the proforma for either an academic reference or character reference, or alternatively on school or employer letterhead. These completed forms need to be scanned and attached to your online application. You will also be asked to provide credit card (VISA or MasterCard) details for the application fee of $60.00.
Your online application will not be complete until all of these have been received and you will receive notification via email that your application has been sent for review and we’ll be in contact soon after.
If you have any questions about your application, feel free to make contact on +61 (8) 8334 5600 or contact the Admissions Officer, Ms Anne Verwey, on firstname.lastname@example.org.
