Newland Building runs in a North-South direction between Downer House and Kermode Street. The building had its genesis early in the history of the College. Initially known as the “New Wing”, the building’s first part was completed in 1926 and it was named after Sir Henry Simpson Newland, founder of the College and Chairman of the Council for more than 25 years. Newland building accommodates 45 undergraduate students and also comprises tutor and Assistant Dean flats.
