A number of scholarships, bursaries and prizes awarded on the basis of academic and other merit, including personal contribution to the College and wider communities and financial need have been generously given to the College by various benefactors over the years.  Awards are made by the College Scholarship Committee and/or panels established under the conditions of the award and are available to all undergraduate members who are residents of the College.  The only entry scholarships are the Cowan and Hawker scholarships.

Awards must be applied for in writing to the Master. Primary criteria for the awards are scholastic achievement and, for the bursaries also, financial need. Full details of these should be set out in applications.

The Hawker Scholarships: The Scholarship covers all fees, books, stationary and equipment with allowances for living expenses. Hawker Scholars who take courses in Adelaide reside at St. Mark's college. Full information about the Hawker Scholarships can be found on the Web Site at www.hawkerscholarship.org

Cowan Grant: Students from rural areas of Australia who would find difficulty in meeting both tuition and accommodation costs in Adelaide are especially invited to apply for a Cowan Grant.

Old Collegians Association Scholarship:

Bursaries for entry students with St. Mark's family connection

The Old Collegians Association has endowed two bursaries, each worth $2,500 to be awarded next year to students applying for admission for their first year at St. Mark's in 2008.

First year students who are a child or grandchild of a St. Mark's Collegian and/or a brother or sister of a St. Mark's Collegian, either former or current, are eligible to be considered.

The list below details scholarships numbering over 30 with an annual value of the order of $95,000.
