PAYMENT OF FEES There are two types of payment options being offered to students. The options are based on a 36 week academic year, those students studying at the University of South Australia or Flinders or any other tertiary institutions which have a 37 week academic year will be required to pay one week's fees with their up front fees prior to the commencement of the academic year. Option 1: International students will be offered full year or semester fee payment options (Options A&B) Option 2: Australian Citizens and Permanent Resident Status students will be offered four options (Options A, B, C & D) Accounts All accounts will be forwarded via email. The person responsible for payment of the account must supply the College with an email address to which an account can be forwarded. The email address must be kept current with St. Mark's College at all times. It is the responsibility of the person paying the account to immediately advise the College if the email address changes (please note a "hotmail" account cannot be accepted) Outstanding fees All financial commitments for the academic year must be paid in full to St. Mark's College by 24th October 2008, as stated in the contract signed by students, but if alternative payment arrangements have been made, by no later than 31 December in the current year. St. Mark's College will not offer a student a place in the College in the next or subsequent academic year unless and until all current financial commitments have been fulfilled. The College will not refund
any contingency fees, or other amounts due to students, or other
persdons until all monies owing to the College have been received.
Students may apply for permission to stay in College during the July and Summer vacation but permission is granted at the Master's discretion and vacation residence charges will apply. Linen, blankets, pillows, towels can be supplied at a total cost of $27.50 per week (incl. GST) for each student, changed weekly by domestic staff (this is optional). There is a voluntary Building Fund Donation of $200 per annum to support the continual upgrade and enhancement of College facilities for the benefit of all, those in residence and those who will reside at the College in the future. There will be a charge
of $80 for life membership of the Old Collegians Association for
one-semester students. Full year students pay this as part of the
contingency fee.
The smart card deposit will be refunded provided students return their card. In regard to the telephone call deposit, students pay for their own private external calls, making a minimum deposit of $50. Upon leaving, any unused deposit is refunded. Insurance: The College does not cover any personal belongings of students brought into the College. They bring them in at their own risk. If students wish to have cover, we suggest they make enquiries with their parents' insurer, or an independent insurer. Semester II 2008 will close on 8th June 2008. Getting your application in prior to the closing date assists your chances of obtaining a place, but doesn't guarantee a place. All applicants must be interviewed and then applications are reviewed by the College's administrative team and offers then made. Notification of places being offered will be forwarded for Sem II 2008, by 30th June 2008. When one-semester contracted students have been interviewed and their place confirmed by St. Mark's College, the following up-front fees must be paid as soon as possible after confirmed to ensure a place is kept for the applicant. (All fees are quoted in AUD$). The following fees are for 2008: For contracted one-semester students there will be a non-refundable semester fee of $400 (plus 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST) = $440). This fee does not apply to full year students. One-semester students are charged a reduced contingency fee of $100, which will be refunded under the same conditions as all contingency fees. One semester fees in 2008 have to be paid on or before the following dates: Semester I by 15th February 2008 Semester II by 23rd July 2008. |
